When we lived in town the dogs couldn’t be outside for long without supervison or being locked in a fenced area to keep them home. The reason for this was because of a bylaw against noise and it was pretty sketchy as to what was considered a noise infraction. The dogs would also bark at all the sounds of town and the people walking by down town. There were plenty of smells and plenty of other dogs in the area to bark at. Out here on the homestead the dogs enjoy being outside! They aren’t being scolded for barking, and truth be told they are barking less and staying out longer. It seems that they are enjoying the freedom to roam, they run with the kids and they play with each other running around through the pines. It makes me smile seeing them get to be dogs again.
